Quest For New Manager And Player Talks Commence
With promotion and relegation issues affecting the First Division now settled, adjustments to the playing squad budget for next season have now been completed accordingly.
The result is that contract discussions began yesterday at Broadwood Stadium with selected members of the present squad, and these talks will continue today and probably into Thursday.
As is always the case, some players will be informed that their services will not be required next season whilst others are expected to signal their own desire to move on from Clyde. Over the next few weeks the website will endeavour to keep everyone informed of the varying outcomes from such talks, as well as announcing the acquisition of any new signings.
Former Clyde and Scotland boss Craig Brown (pictured left) is not only present at these talks with the players, giving both parties the benefit of his vast experience in such matters, but Craig is also kindly assisting the Club in the important task of identifying suitable candidates to fill the Clyde Manager’s post made vacant by Billy Reid’s resignation last week.
