Local Primary Schools’ Programme Launched

Clyde F.C. Soccer & Clyde F.C. Supporters Trust have joined forces to deliver a Schools Coaching/Clyde Information programme to raise the awareness of Clyde Football Club in Cumbernauld and to show our commitment to the community.

Abronhill Primary was first school to take part and the community coaches were in the school from 9.00am until 12.30pm, delivering a fun coaching session to over 120 children from P4 up to P7.

A second or third visit will be made to Abronhill in about two month’s time to cover those classes which could not take part in our first visit. Participating children receive the following:
1. Match ticket for Clyde v Queen of the South on 12 March 2005.
2. Clyde F.C. Poster
3. “Clyde F.C. Soccer” Certificate
4. Information regarding “Clyde F.C. Soccer” courses

Visits to Cumbernauld Primary, St Andrews Primary and Eastfield Primary have been arranged over the next few weeks and it is our intention that every school in Cumbernauld and the surrounding area will receive at least two visits per school term; we will let supporters know the results of these visits.

Clyde F.C. Soccer coaches are all enhanced disclosure (highest disclosure) checked by North Lanarkshire Council to check their suitability in working with children. These certificates are available to be viewed by contacting me at Clyde F.C. Soccer on 07050 279622.
