Up For The Cup!

Billy Reid commented today on our forthcoming cup trip to Dingwall. “The cup is special regardless of the fact we are playing a familiar team. I’m sure as usual there will be a strong and noisy Clyde support and it should be a great atmosphere”.

Billy watched our cup opponents against Hamilton last Saturday, “I was very impressed by County at the weekend but I was still surprised by the margin of their victory over Airdrie United. Alex Smith has put together a good squad with SPL experience. The fact that we won there last time out means nothing. Indeed it may lull some fans into complacency. That is certainly not shared by the players or management team. It will be an extremely difficult task to get a result at Dingwall but it is a game we are not fearful of facing”.

On form, County will test Clyde to the limit but the possible reward of a quarter final place will certainly focus fans’ and players’ minds in trying to upset the odds again in the Cup this year.
