Walker Keen To Stay

Clyde received a further boost today with the news that midfielder Alex Walker, signed originally on a six month loan deal from Rangers, is keen to extend his loan spell at Broadwood.

Billy Reid informed the website: “We’ve spoken with Alex and he has stated that he loves it here at Clyde and would like to stay longer. I was obviously concerned that Alex would want to go back to Ibrox and try and make a name for himself. He has undoubted talent and at Clyde he is getting an opportunity to play first team football and demonstrate his skill in a very competitive environment and that can only be good for his game”.

“It has been a busy time for Rangers,” Billy continued, “but we are discussing with them the possibility of Alex staying and I’m hopeful that we can reach an agreement but nothing is sealed yet”.

Alex who won the SFL Young Player Award n September has settled well into the Clyde squad and it would be a major boost to the Club if the talented midfielder stays for the remainder of the season.
