Queen Of The South V Clyde
It’s business as usual at Broadwood today as the players prepared for the trip to Dumfries to play Queen of the South. “We spoke to QoS today and they’ve said that the pitch is waterlogged at the moment but we have to prepare regardless. It would be unprofessional to do anything else and there are still 48 hours to go”.
The squad is shaping up nicely for the game Darren Sheridan is available but unfortunately Gary Arbuckle is likely to be missing. Billy commented, “Gary has a slight hamstring injury and will probably need to rest incase he aggravates it”.
Better news was that Craig Bryson is available for selection in a match that is bound to demand the very best from Clyde. “Craig trained today and although he isn’t 100% he should manage”, added Billy.
Morning reports had Clyde linked to former Raith, Livingston and Partick forward Alex Burns. Billy Reid was pragmatic about it, “It’s the same old story at this time of the year and I’ll give you the same answer as before. Alex is only one of a number of players we are interested in at the moment”.
Billy continued, “I’d love to add to the squad but I know I need to wheel and deal. So nothing has happened yet”.
