Mark Makes His Mark!
Mark Gilhaney scored twice as Clyde beat Livingston 2-0 at Almondvale this afternoon. Billy Reid arranged a closed door friendly with Livingston in preparation for our weekend clash with Raith Rovers and the Bully Wee enjoyed an encouraging 2-0 victory.
Billy Reid was delighted with the performance as he spoke to the website “It was just a bounce game but virtually the whole squad was used. It was another clean sheet and to be honest we should have scored more in the first half. Aaron Conway was especially unlucky on a couple of occasions”.
“We took the opportunity to use some of our younger squad members as well as giving the experienced first teamers another game,” Billy continued. “Livingston came into the match more in the second half but we played well to claim a deserved victory. It was just what we needed and now we can set our sights on the game against Raith Rovers”.
