Darren’S D-Day
Midfielder Darren Sheridan is facing a race against time to be fit for this Saturday’s clash with Partick Thistle. However Clyde are doing everything they can to get the experienced player fit for the trip to Firhill.
Sheridan, who suffered a dead leg against Raith Rovers, commutes from Manchester for the games, and this has brought an added difficulty in getting him ready.
Billy
Billy was in no doubt of the significance of Sheridan not making the game. “The only game we’ve lost in the league this season was when Darren was absent. He is a massive influence as he is a player who rarely gives the ball away, makes simple passes, talks to others and is not afraid to put his foot on the ball”.
It is obvious that his inclusion is vital to our chances and evidence of that is the length that Billy Reid is going to. “It doesn’t matter that Wednesday is my day off, if this move gets Darren fit and gives Clyde a better chance of getting three points then it will be worth it”.
