Clyde 1 V 2 Airdrie United
Clyde’s unbeaten run came to a disappointing end at Broadwood today against an Airdrie United side reduced to ten men after just twelve minutes when Roberts was sent off. It proved to be one of the poorest Bully Wee displays for a long time.
Playing against a fierce wind in the first half, Clyde should have had more than Aron Wilford’s twelfth minute header to show for their efforts before Airdrie got their equaliser in the thirty-ninth minute through Barklay; the Diamonds finished the first half in the ascendency.
In the second half, the home team failed to take advantage of their extra man or the elements and conceded a really soft second goal when Coyle scored in the sixty-ninth minute to give Airdrie United all three points.
