Star French Trialist May Face The Jags

Former Hearts winger Jean-Louis Valois, who left Tynecastle last January as part of a budget-reducing exercise, has been given the all-clear to play for Clyde as a trialist in tomorrow’s eagerly awaited opening Bell’s First Division fixture against Partick Thistle at Broadwood.

Since leaving the Maroons, Jean-Louis has played for Spanish Second Division club Almeira but after they missed out on promotion he decided to come back to Britain to try to continue his career.

The out-of-contract Frenchman will use the match to help Clyde take on their closest rivals, and in doing so hopes an appearance or two for the Bully Wee will help to remind other clubs of his qualities.
