Reid All About The Raith Match
Billy Reid paid tribute to Raith Rovers’ comeback yesterday, in his post-match interview with the website’s Cammy Macdonald.
“We were three up and cruising, but all credit to Raith. They battled away and scored two goals and were looking for another one. But I am delighted to get three points away from home.
“We played a 3-4-3 formation today with three up front, to have a go at them, and it worked early on with a two goal lead at half time. Unfortunately losing two late goals is really just football at times.
“We brought Paul Doyle on but it’s not down to him. Really we didn’t kill the game off by keeping possession, we gave the ball away too easily and invited Raith onto the top of us and I think that’s where our problems came from.
“Young Bryson was fantastic today, he gives us a goal threat and he is one for the future and we have high hopes for him at our club.
“I don’t think many folk here had high expectations as everyone realises that it’s a rebuilding job after losing so many players over the summer. It’s early doors, we are delighted to have six points on the board but we know that there is a long way to go.
