Brechin V Clyde Preview
Simon Mensing and John Potter are again the only two players missing ahead of the final match of a rollercoaster season away to Brechin City.
Alan Kernaghan said:-
“The majority of the squad are fine and everyone is looking forward to the match. We have to concentrate on our own game and nothing but a win will do. If we get it and things don’t go our way in Inverness then there’s not a lot we can do on the day.
“A draw is no good to us and the players know that and are ready to give it their all.
“What will happen in Inverness will happen but the main thing is that we get the correct information from the Caledonian Stadium because we don’t want to look silly. We have to be professional about it and we’ve organised that.
“Supporters, through no fault of their own, often get wrong info on these type of occasions and I’ve taken steps to make sure I know what’s going on and the players have been told that they should only take updates form me.
“The squad have also been told that contract negotiations will begin on Monday because we need to know where we are playing first. That’s the situation we’re in and it doesn’t make my job any easier but it won’t affect tomorrow’s match.”
