Brechin 2 V 5 Clyde
Despite a thumping victory against the First Division’s bottom club, there was to be no party in Brechin as The Bully Wee finished the season just a point behind Inverness.
For a pulsating 20 minute spell Clyde were back at the top of the league as Inverness were held by St.Johnstone but two goals for the highland club dashed the hopes of the Gypsy Army once more.
However, the fantastic travelling support made the most of a day lined with sadness and disappoinment including emotional farewells for Jack Ross and Pat Keogh, who signed off with a memorable hat-trick.
The other results in Division 1 were:-
Ayr 1 v 0 Raith Rovers
Inverness 3 v 1 St.Johnstone
Queen of the South 1 v 0 Falkirk
St.Mirren 2 v 0 Ross County
