Clyde V Raith Rovers Preview

Having completed a week’s training successfully, collapsed lung victim Mark McLaughlin returns to the squad ahead of tomorrow’s match against Raith Rovers at Broadwood.

With John Fraser also coming back into the reckoning after an ankle injury, only Alan Kernaghan (foot) and John Potter (groin) are unavailable.

The manager said:

“The next five matches are all must win as far as I’m concerned. If we manage to get the points tomorrow in a way it will feel like winning six.

“Inverness have a hard run in but so do we, so wins in the home matches become absolutely vital.

“The players haven’t showed any signs of nerves at all this week so hopefully they will take that into the match. They have to keep calm and I’d ask the fans to try and do the same. We’ve stressed to the squad about the importance of starting matches well because one of these days we’re going to be dead and buried at half-time. They all have to turn up with the correct attitude.

“Raith have improved of late and seem to have found a goalscorer so defensively we’ll need to be at our best.”
