Queen Of The South 1 V 2 Clyde
Our first win at Palmerston Park since 1997 couldn’t have come at a better time as winning ways were restored with a performance that was impressive more for its endeavour than its good football.
In Clyde’s first real attack of the match, Kevin Fotheringham scored his first goal for the club with an excellent volley into the top corner from the edge of the box.
Immediately after the break Ian Harty made it 2-0 but, after our best spell of the match, a soft penalty (and goal) was conceded when the ball ricocheted off Stuart McCluskey’s hand in the box. A nervous end to the match followed but three vital points were eventually secured.
