Psj 1 V 2 Bully Wee United

Clyde’s newest fans’ team played their St.Johnstone counterparts in Perth yesterday prior to the big match. Goals from Stevie Hunter and a wonder strike from 14-year-old debutant Scott Anson gave the Bully Wee a fully deserved 2-1 victory.

Other debutant Ross Forrester put in an accomplished performance at the heart of the defence and deservedly won the opposition’s man of the match nomination.

Given that the game was played in difficult underfoot conditions, both teams deserve credit for serving up an entertaining and good natured football match.

The Clyde boys would like to thank the St.Johnstone team and the staff of Ormonds Bar for their excellent after match hospitality. An excellent day out was of course completed with the afternoon victory at McDiarmid Park.

Bully Wee United’s next match is against Queen’s Park on Saturday morning at Broadwood, prior to the Clyde v St.Mirren First Division encounter.
