Clyde V St.Mirren Preview
Three players are sidelined through injury ahead of tomorrow’s match against St.Mirren at Broadwood. Player-manager Alan Kernaghan will again miss out with a foot injury and is now expected to be out for at least two weeks.
John Potter (groin) and John Fraser (ankle) are the other two enforced absentees.
Kernaghan said today:-
“There are usually plenty of goals in these matches so we’ll have to tighten up defensively. They carry a threat, particularly from deliveries into the box and we worked on this today.
“We have to try and carry on as normal and show the same attitude that we did last week. Every game is different and it will be hard to emulate last week’s level of performance but we have to strive for it and, at least, come pretty close to it.
“Every game seems to get harder at the moment and St.Mirren will be playing with a competitive edge as they try to get away from the bottom. Their results haven’t matched their performances often this season and they’ve drawn matches they should have won but we know what they are capable of.
“It might be pretty boring to say it again, but we just have to concentrate on beating St.Mirren and let everything else take care of itself.”
