Clyde V Brechin Preview
Jimmy Gibson is Alan Kernaghan’s only new injury doubt ahead of tomorrow’s top versus bottom league match against Brechin City at Broadwood.
The midfielder was forced to leave the field early on Wednesday night at Palmerston Park with a groin problem and a decision will be made on his fitness nearer kick-off time tomorrow.
On the match, the manager said:-
“Whether Brechin come and defend or not we have to be on the front foot and take the game to them. It is very much a potential banana skin and we’ve spoken about that already.
“We need to have the same attitude as we had on Wednesday. I know it wasn’t pretty but it was effective and it got us the result, which was the important thing.
“It might take us an hour to break them down but when we do get a chance we’re going to have to take it because they may be few and far between.
“It’s another tough game but everyone is going to have 10 tough games before the end of the season. Whatever happens elsewhere happens but if we do our bit then we could end up 9 points ahead. Everything is there for us and I wouldn’t swap our position for anybody’s in the league.”
