Statement By Directors

The Directors of and potential investors in Clyde Football Club met representatives of North Lanarkshire Council today at Broadwood Stadium. A wide range of matters was discussed, which included consideration of Clyde’s financial position; the construction of the Fourth Stand; the provision of pitch sub-soil heating; Clyde’s possible promotion to the Scottish Premier League and other developments.

The discussions were extremely cordial with all of the participants sharing the wish to see the success of Clyde Football Club and its promotion to the Scottish Premier League. Agreement was readily reached in how all of these matters could be successfully progressed.

Speaking after the meeting, Mr W B Carmichael, Chairman of Clyde Football Club, said, “It was a most constructive and encouraging meeting, which clearly demonstrated how Clyde’s future at Broadwood can be secured to the benefit of the Club and the Community as a whole”.
