Scottish Cup 4Th Round Draw

The draw for the 4th Round of the Tennent’s Scottish Cup was made immediately after today’s matches finished and Dunfermline Athletic will visit Broadwood on February 7th.

Manager Alan Kernaghan commented:-

“It’s a good tie and it should be entertaining to say the least. We know Jimmy likes them to play attacking football and they have two very good strikers.”

The Pars last visited Broadwood on League duty ten years ago, just after the stadium opened, and the pairing gives Clyde another chance to beat top flight opposition in Cumbernauld; a feat never achieved to date. Andy Smith, a former Pars player, said:-

“I think it’s a great draw for the club. I had five great years there so I’m looking forward to the match, as are John Potter and John Fraser who are also ex-Dunfermline players. They are a good attacking side who score a lot of goals and their front two are the best in Scotland out with Larsson and Hartson. It’s going to be a big test but we have no fears about them coming here. It should be an exciting game.”
