Clyde 2 V 1 Ayr

Clyde hit the top of the table with a hard fought victory over The Honest Men today, courtesy of two fine goals from Mark McLaughlin and Ian Harty.

The Bully Wee dominated the first half but couldn’t break down a packed Ayr defence but McLaughlin put a cracking right foot shot into the top corner just after the break to ease the nerves. A good striker’s finish by Harty then looked to have sealed the points but the visitors battled their way back into the match and made the last 15 minutes uncomfortable.
