Smith Arrives At Broadwood

Alan Kernaghan today snapped up experienced striker Andy Smith on a free transfer from Raith Rovers. Smith, 34, has signed until the end of the season and will be aiming to prove he can still score goals at First Division level.

Kernaghan said:-

“I’m delighted to secure Andy’s services. Since Willie Falconer left, the squad has needed a big front player and Andy fits that bill perfectly. Along with quality, he also brings good experience which will rub off on the younger players. His record shows he’ll be a goal threat and he’ll give us that extra bit of competition for places. He’s also very hungry for more success here at Clyde.”

The Manager also insisted that the hunt for suitable additions to the squad goes on:-

“We will continue searching for players until the August 31st deadline, with the central midfield position being a priority.”
