Friendly Defeat For Young Side

A Clyde side made up predominantly of under-19 players, but also featuring Andy Smith and new signing Jimmy Gibson, lost 2-1 to Stenhousemuir at Ochilview on Tuesday night.

In a poor game played in equally poor conditions, Chris Zok scored Clyde’s goal but the overall showing was less than satisfactory for Manager Alan Kernaghan:-

“Players like Paul Doyle, Billy Reid and John Baird haven’t played a match for a while because of the under-19s being away so they were a bit rusty. This didn’t help matters, but it’s no excuse for a poor performance generally.”
