Ak – Players Will Arrive

Alan Kernaghan has confirmed that he still intends to bring fresh faces to Broadwood before the transfer deadline – but he won’t rush into making any signings. He said:-

“We’ve been frustrated time and time again when trying to get players in. Some have been nicked by other clubs and some want too much money. I want to bring in 2, or possibly even 3, players and we are hoping to have some news by the start of next week.”

“I can understand people’s frustration, but we still have 5 or 6 weeks until the deadline. I would have preferred to have them in by now but unfortunately it hasn’t worked out that way.”

Kernaghan also admitted it was highly unlikely that Hibs midfielder John O’Neil would be featuring in a Clyde jersey next season:-

“At the moment, I don’t think we have much chance of getting O’Neil. We would be putting more than all our eggs in the one basket if we went down that road.”
