Midfield Youngster Signs

The club yesterday signed central midfielder Chris McBride on an 18 month contract. McBride, 18, was a trainee at Kilmarnock in his youth, but a fall-out with a coach led to his departure from Rugby Park recently.

After becoming available, he featured in the under-18s side several times as a trialist, but has now signed a full-time senior contract that will take him through to May 2004.
