&Quot;No Such Thing As Bogey Teams&Quot; –

Clyde Manager Alan Kernaghan says his players should treat Saturday’s game against Alloa like any other, and forget the “bogey team” tag.

Between February ’99 and September ’01 under Allan Maitland, Clyde failed to beat Alloa 11 times in a row and a 0-0 draw this season under Kernaghan continued the trend. At Recreation Park on Saturday it’s unlucky 13 for The Bully Wee, but AK is having none of it:-

“I don’t believe in bogey teams – you get what you deserve out of most games,” he said, and continued by saying that luck also has little to do with it. “Probably in the past, even at home, we haven’t played that well against them. You maybe get a lot of possession but you have to make that count and if you don’t then you get what you deserve.”

“It will be important that we get the first goal, because if you don’t they can be defensively very organised. It works for them though so I’m not knocking it.”
