Oban Tournament Preview
Tomorrow (Saturday) Clyde make the annual journey to Oban to take part in the Oban Saints Tournament. Clyde have won the event for the last 3 years and will be keen to hold on to the trophy. It’s an event which the support enjoys and Clyde is always the best supported club there.
Due to the second pitch at Oban being flooded, the schedule has had to be revised to accommodate all the days’ matches on the one pitch. This means that play will start at 10.30 rather than the usual 11.30. Five teams will contest the trophy – Clyde, Inverness, Hearts, Oban and Nairn County. A full list of fixtures and kick-off times can be found below, which you could print off and take with you.
Willie Falconer won’t be there as he is still completing his coaching badge in Largs. Mark McLaughlin should return and the three trialists who played at Livingston are likely to be involved. An ex-Wimbledon and player may also feature for The Bully Wee on trial.
