Clyde Sign Pars’ John Potter

Clyde have signed 22 year old defender John Potter from Dunfermline Atheletic on a free. Six-foot tall John is a product of Celtic’s youth policy, where he became youth team captain, and was with Celtic until 10 May 1999. He didn’t make the breakthrough to the first-tem at Celtic Park but the achieved this at East End Park following his move to Dunfermline on 6 September 1999.

He played 28 times for the Pars and was was a regular in the 1999/2000 season. In 2001/02 he made only six starts (all before November), mainly due to injury troubles. He has signed for Clyde until the end of the season with a view to a permanent move.
