“The start was absolutely dreadful. They dominated the game from the first whistle and we just didn’t cope. It was the opposite in the second half. So in one way we’re disappointed but in another way I’m pleased the players showed the character to come back into the game. But the game was near enough over by then.”

“There is no point in ranting and raving at them, but I questioned their character and at least in the second half they proved that they have some. But it was 45 minutes too late. We were second to the ball and just got dominated…it was as simple as that. Taking Craig Bingham off was a tactical move, at 3-0 down you’ve got to do something. Today is a blip that we could have done without, and we’re looking for a reaction on Tuesday.”
