Clyde travelled to Rutherglen Glencairn tonight for the delayed friendly match against the Junior outfit. It finished 2-0 to the Bully Wee, although the Glens made it a hard-fought contest.

Willie Sawyers, returning after a knee injury, scored with a penalty and sub Steven Odunewu got the other. However, Calum Reidford had to save a penalty as the hosts pushed Clyde all the way.

Before the match, John Brown stated the fixture was an opportunity for players on the fringes of the team to stake a clame for a place, so the match may have given him something to think about ahead of the Brechin City match.
