Wed, 6th Mar 2013 7:13pm

The Clyde FC School of Football Southside Branch was formally presented with an SFA Quality Mark this week.

The Scottish FA Quality Mark accreditation scheme, in partnership with McDonald's and sportscotland, supports thousands of volunteers and hundreds of clubs throughout the country. Quality Mark recognises the hard work being done at clubs and schools across the game - from youth, girls and women's to adult level.

The Clyde community organisation was awarded a Development Level award at an event hosted by the Lord Provost at the Glasgow City Chambers on Monday night,

Willie O'Neill, The Bully Wee's youth academy director, said:-

"Stevie Morton and Robert Sweeney have worked very hard, along with a team of hardworking volunteers, to make this possible. They have lifted the bar to such a high standard and this award is testament to the amount of time and effort the guys have put in.

"It was an honour to attend to see them lift the award."
