The Bully Wee has faced a fair degree of adversity in recent years, with challenges on and off the park and almost constant change. However, one common denominator within the club has been the consistent involvement of a large number of volunteers contributing their time and skills on a regular basis.
A huge amount of tasks are undertaken, with over 100 people giving up their time voluntarily for Clyde; from coaching youngsters in all weathers throughout the week to providing hospitality for visiting club’s officials; from filming matches to fundraising. There is no lack of variety in the roles fulfilled! Recent appeals for assistance in community football, IT support and match day photography have brought offers of support which are greatly appreciated and is further evidence that people are still keen to support the club in whatever way they can.
As the new season begins, the Board of Directors would like to put on record their thanks to the many individuals who have given, will give and will continue to contribute to the life of the club in whatever way they can. Quite simply, Clyde could not function without them.
Opportunities are listed on our website and on a regular basis we will also advertise them in the Clyde View. In the coming days a special feature on how you can help the club on match days will be featured on www.clydefc.co.uk. Even if you don’t see anything that suits but you have an idea or a few hours to spare in a week then don’t hesitate to get in touch so you can find out how you can help the Bully Wee and be part of a team that keeps on growing.
