Clyde 0 v 0 Airdrie United

Clyde had to settle for a share of the points with Airdrie United this afternoon at Broadwood. Despite a promising first half display with Gary Arbuckle prominent the Bully Wee could not make the vital breakthrough.

Smyth of Airdrie was sent off in the second half as both teams huffed and puffed in search of the crucial goal.

An Andy Ferguson snapshot nearly got the victory for Clyde but keeper Stephen Robertson was equal to the task and his counterpart in the Clyde goal David Hutton was the last ditch hero for the Bully Wee with a terrific double save.

In the end a draw was a fair result but Clyde will be disappointed that the opportunities carved out in the first half weren't converted.
