NEW SIGNING: Jude Smith

We are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Jude Smith on a deal until January 2027.

The 23-year-old joins The Bully Wee as a free agent after leaving Carlisle United earlier this year.

Jude began his career in Celtic’s academy before joining East Fife in the summer of 2021. Aged just 18, he quickly established himself as the Fifers’ first-choice goalkeeper under Darren Young, making 30 appearances at Bayview and featuring four times against Clyde during the 2021-22 season.

His impressive form attracted interest from a number of bigger clubs, and in August 2022 he joined Newcastle United. Just a few months later, Jude earned his first Scotland Under-21 cap, featuring against Iceland.

After two years at St James’ Park, Jude joined Carlisle United in June 2024, before departing the Cumbrians in January this year.

Jude is available for selection for tonight’s game against Penicuik Athletic.

You can sponsor Jude’s shirts through the Club Shop.
