LOAN SIGNING: Liam Rooney

We are delighted to announce the signing of Liam Rooney on loan from Partick Thistle until January, subject to SFA approval.

The right-back, who turns 18 next week, made his Jags debut in April 2025, before gaining further experience on loan at Pollok last season.

Darren Young commented:

“We’ve been looking to add more competition and depth in the defensive areas, so it’s great to bring Liam in. He’s young, but he’s ready to play and has good physical attributes.

“We’ve been able to provide valuable experience for young players on loan over the past couple of years, which has been mutually beneficial for both ourselves and the players. We’re confident Liam will follow that trend and make a positive contribution during his time with us.”
