Finlay Milne

All at the club were saddened to learn of the recent passing of lifelong fan Finlay Milne at the age of 90.

Finlay was born and bred in Bridgeton, and also lived in Dalmarnock. He followed Clyde from a young age, becoming a ball boy at Shawfield and watched his heroes win the Scottish Cup in 1955 and 1958.

Along with his brother Tommy, Finlay was a member of the Rutherglen Clyde Supporters Club. He was a cooper working for White Horse in Glasgow, before later moving to Girvan with his wife Joyce to raise the family, and worked for Grant’s Distillery until he retired. Despite the distance, Finlay and his sons Gary and Scott travelled to as many games as they could.

The thoughts and condolences from all at the club are with Gary and his wife Louise, Scott and his partner Maryanne, and grandchildren Nicolle and Alistair.
