Squad Update

The club can provide an update on the playing squad following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.

Sam Campbell, James Hilton, Andy Murdoch and Marley Redfern are already under contract for the 2026-27 campaign.

Lennon Connolly, Brian Kinnear, Robbie Leitch, Ross Lyon, Shay Nevans and Mouhamed Niang will move on from The Bully Wee upon the expiry of their contracts.

Nathan Cannon and Aiden McGinlay will return to Forfar Athletic and Queen’s Park respectively following the conclusion of their loan spells.

Further updates on the remaining players will be provided in due course.

Lyon spent six seasons with The Bully Wee across two spells, after initially signing in September 2018. He was part of the play-off winning squad in his first season, before establishing earning a regular place in the side the following campaign. Ross then returned to the club in the summer of 2022, working under five managers and making a total of 150 Clyde appearances.

Leitch was recruited in January 2024 after leaving Edinburgh City. The attacking midfielder scored 13 goals and contributed 10 assists in his 94 games for The Bully Wee, winning the club’s Goal of the Season award this year for his well worked move against Stranraer. Robbie will return to Edinburgh City.

Kinnear joined Clyde in February 2024 and played a key role as The Bully Wee pulled off the great escape, keeping six clean sheets in his 13 appearances during the run-in. Injuries subsequently curtailed his game time, but he added another five shutouts from 20 matches over the last two seasons.

Niang signed for The Bully Wee last July after leaving East Kilbride. The midfielder made a total of 37 appearances, scoring twice in Clyde colours.

Nevans signed a short-term contract with Clyde after appearing as a trialist in the latter stages of the 2024-25 season, before extending his stay for a further year. He made 14 appearances, scoring one goal.

Connolly joined the club in January, featuring eight times whilst also helping the team reach the Glasgow Cup Final.

Loan players McGinlay and Cannon also joined for the latter half of the season, each scoring once from 19 and 14 appearances respectively.

The club would like to sincerely thank all those moving on from Clyde for their efforts and wish them the very best in their future careers.
