CEO End Of Season Update

As preparations begin for the 2026/27 season, I wanted to update supporters on some of the key work already underway across the club.

While Friday night’s result was hugely disappointing for everyone connected with the club, the season also demonstrated the progress being made both on and off the pitch.

Over the course of the campaign we saw a renewed connection develop between the supporters, players and staff. Attendances remained strong at Hamilton Community Stadium, travelling supports backed the team in excellent numbers, and there was a real sense of momentum building as the season progressed.

The backing our supporters gave the team throughout the play-offs demonstrated the potential this football club has when everyone pulls together behind a shared goal.

That sense of togetherness was also evident at Saturday’s end of season event, where players, staff, directors, volunteers and supporters came together following the conclusion of the campaign. While we would all have preferred it to be a promotion celebration, occasions like that remain important as we continue strengthening the connection around the club.

The objective now is to continue building a sustainable, ambitious and community-focused football club that supporters can be proud of both on and off the pitch.

Off the pitch, there have also been a number of important developments which we will continue building upon heading into next season.

Our Kicks4Kids initiative welcomed hundreds of children and families to their first matches, while the work of the Community Foundation continued to expand through holiday programmes, community football initiatives and educational projects which strengthened the club’s presence within the local community.

Hospitality was relaunched during the second half of the season, with supporters, sponsors and guests responding positively to the improved matchday experience at Hamilton Community Stadium.

Securing manager Darren Young on a new two-year agreement was another major step forward, providing continuity and stability as we continue building for the future.

The club also continues to work behind the scenes on long-term relocation plans. Returning to a permanent home remains a major priority for the board and discussions continue as opportunities for the future are explored. As part of the tender process, Clyde FC Community Foundation today submitted its proposal for FAREPlay Stepford, outlining our capability to operate the facility and our vision to develop it into a sustainable community sports hub.

Planning for the 2026/27 season is already well underway across all areas. Recruitment discussions have started, several sponsors have already committed their support for next season, and discussions continue with businesses and partners who share our ambition for the future.

I would also like to thank all of our sponsors and commercial partners for their backing throughout the season, particularly those who have already committed their support for the 2026/27 campaign. Special thanks must also go to Stevie, Ewen and Nicole of Cameron Event Logistics, who have supported the club across a number of areas this season and have already extended their backing going forward.

Supporters can also look forward to the announcement of an exciting new partnership with our incoming kit and retail supplier ahead of the new campaign, representing another important step forward commercially and operationally.

I would also like to place on record our sincere gratitude to the club’s benefactor, whose continued support remains hugely important to the ongoing progress and stability of the football club.

Equally, none of what takes place across the football club and Community Foundation would be possible without our volunteers, who give up countless hours throughout the season. Their dedication, passion and hard work are greatly appreciated by everyone connected with the club.

Season Ticket details for the 2026/27 campaign will be launched soon and we look forward to welcoming supporters back for another important season.

As a fan-owned football club, supporters remain at the heart of everything we do. If you are interested in becoming an Owner, sponsoring the club, joining our commercial network or introducing a business that may wish to get involved, we would be delighted to hear from you.

There is still a huge amount of work ahead, but there is a genuine belief around the club that we are moving in the right direction. By continuing to pull together, I believe we can build something supporters can be proud of both on and off the pitch in the years ahead.
