Bully Wee Fans Support Hamilton District Foodbank

Clyde supporters once again demonstrated their generosity on Saturday, as the Clyde FC Community Foundation hosted a pre-match collection for the Hamilton District Foodbank ahead of the win over Annan Athletic.

Foodbank volunteers Kenny, Helen and Bob were stationed outside the main stand, gathering both food parcels and cash donations from fans arriving at the match. The response was outstanding, with a substantial volume of items donated in advance of the winter months and the festive season.

Clyde FC CEO David Alexander said:

“A huge thank you to our own supporters, and to Annan Athletic, for the generous donations to the foodbank appeal. Initiatives such as this, led by the Clyde FC Community Foundation, show the power of football to do good. It is exactly the kind of work we are proud to be at the heart of.”

Alan White, Charity Development Manager of the Clyde FC Community Foundation, added:

“We and the volunteers from the Hamilton District Foodbank were blown away by the generosity shown today in food and cash donations. These efforts support the Hamilton District Foodbank in carrying out their invaluable work in providing help to those who need it this winter.”

Supporters who were unable to attend but still wish to contribute can do so. Full details on how to donate are available on the Hamilton District Foodbank website.
