Club Statement: Unacceptable Behaviour

The club wishes to address the unacceptable conduct exhibited by a small number of individuals in the away section during yesterday’s match against Dumbarton.

There were several instances of wholly inappropriate and over-the-top abuse directed not only towards opposition players and staff, but also towards our own supporters. This has led to a number of complaints from fans, including families with young children, who felt their matchday experience was ruined by the behaviour of others.

Clyde FC unequivocally condemns any form of abuse, whether verbal or otherwise. We would like to sincerely apologise to those affected by the unacceptable behaviour. No-one should be made to feel uncomfortable or unsafe while attending a match.

If any supporter is able to identify individuals responsible for the abuse, we encourage them to contact the club confidentially.

To be absolutely clear: further instances of this kind will not be tolerated. Anyone found to be engaging in abusive behaviour at future matches will face sanctions, including a ban from attending Clyde FC fixtures.

We are proud of our loyal fan base and the passion they bring to every match. We now ask all supporters to uphold the standards expected at our club and to help ensure that matchdays remain welcoming, safe, and enjoyable for everyone.

Thank you for your continued support.
