NEW SIGNING: Mouhamed Niang
The club is pleased to announce the signing of Mouhamed Niang on a one-year contract.
Commonly known as “Sena”, the defensive midfielder, who can also play as a centre-back, joins The Bully Wee as a free agent after leaving East Kilbride earlier this week.
The 25-year-old was born in Senegal before moving to Glasgow in his youth. After an impressive breakthrough at Pollok as a teenager, Sena earned a move to Partick Thistle in 2018. He won the League 1 title with the Jags in 2020-21, and also gained experience on loan at Montrose and Alloa Athletic.
Sena then moved to Hartlepool United in 2022 before joining Cove Rangers a year later, and had a fruitful spell with Dumbarton last season, winning their Player of the Year award.
Darren Young commented:-
“We’re delighted to bring Sena in and he’ll be a great addition to the squad. He can play in a number of positions and he’ll bring experience and physicality to the team. Neil Scally has worked with him before and knows all about the type of player and person he is, and he’ll fit in well with the group.”
