Footgolf Day

The club is pleased to announce details of the first supporters’ event of the season – a Footgolf day with the players!

The event will take place on Sunday 17th August, at Footgolf Cumbernauld, Palacerigg Road. Players will be given a time to kick off between 10am and 12 noon, with the day finishing around 2 to 2.30pm.

Manager Darren Young and members of the squad will be taking part, offering fans an opportunity to mix with the players in a relaxed and fun setting.

Each player will play the full course in groups of 5 or 6 people. If you book separately but want to be placed in groups with a friend or family member who has also booked, please contact dean.mckirdy@clydefc.co.uk or john.tonner@clydefc.co.uk

Footgolf is played by combining football and golf, and involves kicking a football into a hole in as few kicks as possible. The game uses the same model as golf, with a fairway, tees, hazards, bunkers!

Footballs are provided and all types of footwear including football boots can be worn.

The cost to take part will be £25 per person and entry can be purchased through the club shop.

There will be prizes on the day, as well as a raffle taking place in the bar/cafe area after play finishes. Friends and family are also welcome on the day for photo opportunities and to mingle.

It is the first event to be added to this season’s calendar, following the appointment of Events Coordinators Dean McKirdy and John Tonner last month.

Dean commented:-

“John and I are really excited to be launching our first event for the club. We’ve worked hard to put a day together that gives supporters the chance to meet the players and staff in a different setting, and we’re really grateful to Darren and the players for agreeing to come along.

“You don’t need any experience to take part – Footgolf is easy to pick up and great fun for all ages and abilities. We’re hoping for a big turnout and a brilliant atmosphere on the day!”
