Murdoch Signs New Deal

The club is pleased to announce that Andy Murdoch has committed his immediate future to The Bully Wee after signing a new two-year contract.

The experienced midfielder joined Clyde initially on loan from Ayr United last August, before signing on permanently in February. The 30-year-old has made 34 appearances to date, scoring one goal.

Darren Young commented:-

“I’m delighted to get this deal done; it took a little longer to get over the line as Andy had other offers to consider including full-time, so we were patient in that respect but he always kept us up to date.

“When Lee was out injured Andy took over the armband last season as he’s a good leader. He’s a great player with a lot of experience, and I felt the longer last season went on he was getting better and fitter, and finished it really strongly.

“Andy brings a lot to our team and has played at a high level; he’s going to be a big player for us again this season.”
