
Rennie Voted Player of the Year
The club’s 2024-25 Awards Night took place at Rutherglen Town Hall on Saturday evening, with Martin Rennie being crowned Player of the Year, after taking 89% of the supporters’ vote.
Rennie also won awards for the Goal of the Season for his free-kick against Stranraer last month, as well as being voted the Players’ Player of the Year and the Castlemilk Branch Player of the Year.
Liam Scullion was named as the Premium Season Ticket Members Player of the Year.
Meanwhile Clyde fan Jimmy Morrison was presented with the Supporters Recognition Award after a lifetime following The Bully Wee. Jimmy witnessed Clyde win the Scottish Cup in 1955 and 1958, before becoming a founding member of the Rutherglen & Burnside Supporters Branch. Jimmy was given a standing ovation by everyone in attendance as he made his way onto the stage to collect his award.
