PREVIEW: Clyde v Forfar Athletic

Clyde could secure league safety on Saturday afternoon with a victory against Forfar Athletic at New Douglas Park.

Three points against the Loons, combined with Bonnyrigg Rose failing to beat East Fife, will confirm the Bully Wee’s William Hill League Two status with three games remaining.

A victory for Jim Weir’s side would allow them to leapfrog the hosts into eighth place and move another step away from relegation danger. The Station Park club are the third most in-form side in the SPFL with only one defeat in their last six.

Ross Lyon serves the first match of a two-game suspension following his red card last Saturday.

Clyde are unbeaten in all meetings between the sides this season, winning the last two matches. Craig Howie scored the only goal in a narrow win at Forfar in February while Jordan Allan and Martin Rennie struck the net in a 2-0 victory at home last December. Meanwhile, the opening match of the season ended in a stalemate.

Clyde have won 35, lost 33 and drew 24 from 92 matches played as they aim to achieve their first unbeaten league season against Forfar since 1992/1993.
