PREVIEW: Bonnyrigg Rose v Clyde

Seventh visit eighth in the William Hill League 2 table tomorrow as Clyde travel to New Dundas Park to face Bonnyrigg Rose.

The Bully Wee could extend the distance on bottom spot to 11 points and close the gap on the top four to five points if they win, while the Rose will leapfrog Clyde with victory.

Darren Young’s men are winless in their last three games and will be seeking a return to winning ways. However, the club hold the worst away record in the division with three draws and seven defeats in ten matches.

Bonnyrigg are fresh off the back of a midweek victory against Stranraer which halted a five-game winless run and will be aiming for back-to-back wins for the first time since November. Similar to their visitors, Calum Eliott’s charges have only lost twice at home and boast the third best record in the league. Their last defeat in Midlothian was in September.

The most recent encounter at New Douglas Park resulted in a share of the spoils. Jordan Allan pulled a goal back after Cameron Ross’ first minute opener, only for the striker to regain Bonnyrigg’s lead with three minutes remaining. Despite that, Marley Redfern struck home a last-gasp equaliser in the second minute of stoppage time.

Meanwhile, the first outing of the season ended in victory for the Rose after second half goals from Bradley Barrett and Angus Mailer cancelled out Liam Scullion’s ninth minute opener.

Out of the eight matches played between the clubs, Clyde have won three, drawn once and lost four.
