Blair Holmes

All at the club were deeply saddened to learn of the recent passing of lifelong Clyde supporter Blair Holmes.

Blair began supporting Clyde in the 1980s and followed The Bully Wee from Shawfield and beyond. Blair was a cherished father to Freya and Noah, and a devoted husband to Gillian. He introduced Noah to Clyde, and they would travel to matches together, following the club all over the country.

Blair was also an extremely popular member of the Glasgow Branch of Clyde supporters, with many of the friends he made commenting on his warmth, sense of humour and his big smile which was always there no matter the result.

That trademark smile was evident in pictures from the 2019 Playoff Final victory over Annan Athletic, with Blair barely able to contain his excitement following Ally Love’s late winner.

Blair will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The thoughts and condolences of all at the club are with Gillian, Freya and Noah, and the rest of Blair’s family and friends at this sad time.
