Edinburgh City 1-0 Clyde
Clyde’s dismal run of form continued with defeat at Meadowbank this afternoon.
Darren Young made three changes to his side with Marley Redfern, Ray Grant and Logan Dunachie coming in for the injured duo of Barry Cuddihy and Liam Scullion. Martin Rennie was only fit enough for a place on the bench, where he was joined by Chris McGinn as a trialist.
The closest Clyde came to a goal in a drab opening period was when a corner was headed towards his own goal by Sam Jones, but Jon Robertson got a boot to it on the goal line to prevent the ball crossing.
In the second half Logan Dunachie won a high ball in the box and then Jordan Allan directed a follow up header on goal, but it was saved by Mark Weir.
Clyde were given warnings when ex-player Connor Young twice got in behind the defence and through one-on-one with Robbie Hemfrey, but the ‘keeper pulled off two fine saves to keep the game goalless.
They were made to pay in the 73rd minute however when Young once again found himself racing through on goal, this time rounding Hemfrey and slotting into the empty net.
