Board Vacancies

The club are looking to boost the membership of the board and are seeking applications for the posts noted below.

The club has a vision to return to Glasgow in a stadium where we can operate with the same commercial autonomy and community engagement as our contemporaries. This is an essential element of the strategy to support our football department to be competitive and ambitious. Any applicant should understand and buy into this objective.

Each post will have varying demands on time, all are voluntary and unpaid. Applicants should assume that to fulfil their duties competently, at least 8 hours per week will be required including weekly board meetings, some of which will be held online. All candidates should be committed to the success of the club, its objectives and the principles of accountability to its shareholders.

Commercial Director: an experienced commercial B to B salesperson able to access a wide network of businesses in central Scotland. The candidate will develop a strategy to manage commercial growth from a very limited base to build a cohort of local businesses accessing a far wider range of commercial opportunities that will support our club when we move to Glasgow .

Finance Director: applicants must be qualified to a professional level and have extensive experience of working within the SME sector and be highly competent with contemporary IT infrastructure.

Governance Director: candidates will preferably be from a legal or compliance background. Governance is a foundation for any business. Within the club it spans ensuring that the club operates within the remits of SFA, SPFL, Articles of Association, Companies Act and the various policies of the organisation and ensuring that board members are aware of their obligations.

Marketing Director: promotion of the club, its activities and commercial opportunities is a central function in the growth plan for the club and in supporting its return to Glasgow. A strong candidate with experience in digital marketing is sought to support our talented media team.

Other opportunities are expected to arise as existing directors look to retire.
