Norrie Innes

All at the club were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former player Norrie Innes earlier this week. Norrie, an inside-forward, joined Clyde in August 1954 from Ashfield, and spent five years at Shawfield, scoring 27 goals in just under 70 appearances.

Norrie is also part of an exclusive group of fathers and sons who have played for The Bully Wee, with his son Norrie Jnr going on to play for Clyde in the 1980s and later becoming Chairman of the club.

A fuller tribute to Norrie will be published on the website over the coming days.

The thoughts and condolences of all at the club are with Norrie’s family and friends at this sad time.
