NEW SIGNING: Tommy Robson

The club is pleased to announce the signing of left-back Tommy Robson on a two-year contract.

Robson, who can also play further forward as a left-wing-back, came through the academy at Sunderland and made one appearance for the Mackems in the English Premier League in 2016.

The 28-year-old Englishman came north in 2018 to join Falkirk and later played for Partick Thistle. He moved across Glasgow in 2020 to sign for Queen’s Park, and helped the Spiders to back-to-back promotions from League 2 to the Championship, before leaving Hampden this summer.

Ian McCall commented:-

“I’m delighted to get Tommy in and fill another key position in our squad. He’s very mobile and gets forward really well, whilst also being very aggressive defensively.

“Again he’s another who has played most of his career at a higher level in the Championship and has a great degree of experience. He is also a good character to have around and he’ll fit in very well in the dressing room.”
